Dean of the Graduate College

Dr. Waldron provides vision and leadership for graduate education at UNI. She works closely with graduate program coordinators and staff to oversee the administration of graduate programs and assist with the recruitment and retention of graduate students. She advocates for graduate programs to internal and external constituents. Dr. Waldron supports and promotes the scholarly research and creative activities by faculty and graduate students in order to build a strong graduate community at UNI.

Associate Dean of the Graduate College

Dr. Olivares administers the policies and procedures on degree requirements and academic regulations. She processes graduate student requests, oversees the graduate curriculum process, and facilitates the granting of graduate college awards. Dr. Olivares assists the Dean in building a strong graduate community at UNI.

Director of Graduate Student Life

Susie develops and implements the Graduate Student Life Program and assists with recruiting. She organizes and coordinates Graduate College events such as New Graduate Student Orientation, Thinking About Graduate School, and the annual Graduate Student Symposium, as well as professional development workshops for graduate students. Susie serves as the editor of the UNI Grad Student News, the quarterly online newsletter and supervises the assigned graduate assistants.

Thesis & Dissertation Reviewer and Digital Publications Coordinator

Kat oversees the thesis and dissertation completion process and guides students through the submission process. She is a leader in research writing and collaborates with other units on campus to support scholarly and creative writing of graduate students. Kat works closely with the Rod Library to promote ScholarWorks and she assists with the digital communications and publications in the Graduate College.

Secretary II

Rubina acts as liaison between Graduate College staff and various constituency groups regarding inquiries and any other issues or concerns. She helps to organize and facilitate Graduate College events, as well as assists with administration of all Graduate College Awards, including the Faculty Summer Fellowships and the PDAs. Rubina provides administrative assistance to the Dean and Associate Dean of the Graduate College and maintains the Graduate College Website.

Secretary IV

Lisa manages and facilitates the Graduate Assistantship and Graduate College Tuition Scholarship processes including providing departments and students support and assistance with procedures and adhering to guidelines. She is also responsible for the administration and accounting functions of all Graduate College accounts. Lisa also works with IT in maintaining and developing electronic forms and processes as the Graduate College moves towards paperless documents and storage.
