Is grading difficult, time-consuming and/or stressful for you? This interactive seminar will help you understand the purposes, planning and practices associated with effective assessments. You will explore the five essential (and interconnected) parts of grading: (1) writing valuable assessments, (2) communicating clear expectations; (3) providing meaningful feedback; (4) improving student learning; and (5) regulating your time, energy and well-being. Plus, you will develop examples for each part of grading to guide and support your work relevant to your own academic field as a graduate student teaching assistant.
