Diversity and Inclusion Advancement Award

This award is to support graduate students who demonstrate scholarly promise at UNI, are committed to diversity and inclusion initiatives, and are (a) from underrepresented backgrounds or (b) underrepresented in ways specific to their academic discipline or field. Please use this form to submit your application for the Diversity and Inclusion Advancement Award.

Students who are: a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, plan to enroll full-time in an UNI graduate degree program, hold a minimum GPA of 3.0, and meet the specified criteria are eligible to apply (see award page for full details). Awards are given to new students at the time of admission. With satisfactory academic progress, parts of the award can be renewed for a second year.

This application is due February 15 for consideration. Please review the eligibility requirements and award details.

A committee formed by the Graduate College will review applications. The committee will make award recommendations to the Dean of the Graduate College, who will make the final award decisions. Please contact gradcollege@uni.edu with any questions.
