WORK IN LABORATORIES WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY

Designed for students who want to pursue careers in athletics, medicine, human services, or a variety of other fields, the MA in Physical Education offers many opportunities for hands-on learning. Students work in laboratories and classrooms with state-of-the-art technology as well as participating in internships and practicums in the UNI Athletic center. University faculty and athletic coaches offer one-on-one mentoring and research opportunities related to education, athletics, and community wellness programs.

Students in the Physical Education Pedagogy emphasis are prepared for careers as physical education teachers working or planning to work in K-12 educational settings. Our graduates choose employment as strength and conditioning coaches, upper-level administrators/managers in the fitness industry, or sport psychology consultants, or continue to an advanced degree in Exercise Science, Biomechanics or Sport Psychology.
