WORK IN LABORATORIES WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY

Designed for students who want to pursue careers in athletics, medicine, human services, or a variety of other fields, the MA in Physical Education offers many opportunities for hands-on learning. Students work in laboratories and classrooms with state-of-the-art technology as well as participating in internships and practicums in the UNI Athletic center. University faculty and athletic coaches offer one-on-one mentoring and research opportunities related to education, athletics, and community wellness programs.

The Kinesiology and Sport Performance emphasis prepares students for careers in the following areas: strength and conditioning, fitness industry, sport psychology, coaching, and athletic administration.  An MA in Kinesiology is also commonly used in preparation for more advanced degrees in Physical or Occupational Therapy.
