The University of Northern Iowa School of Music is regarded as one of the finest music programs in the Midwest and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The MM program in Music Education provides exceptional graduate-level training in music education for public school music teachers, and rigorous coursework prepares students for the possibility of doctoral study in music education. Teachers will enhance their research skills and knowledge, learn about the most current trends in today’s music education field, and continue to develop their own comprehensive knowledge of music through study of music theory, history, and analysis within the Graduate Music Core.
