Mathematics: Teaching Mathematics (MA)

BECOME A COMPETENT USER OF MATHEMATICAL APPLICATIONS
Graduates of the Department of Mathematics are well prepared to enter the professional workplace or to continue their education in mathematics. The mission of the mathematics department is to provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and mathematical applications. Our students have the opportunity to work in computer labs and research groups to prepare for a variety of careers in teaching and industry.
The Teaching Mathematics program prepares students to teach at a variety of education levels, including the middle grades, secondary schools, and community colleges.
