TACKLE REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS WITH MARKETABLE SKILLS

Our MA program is dynamic and diverse, with opportunities in many subfields of geography including GIS, remote sensing, fluvial and glacial geomorphology, political geography, urban geography, transportation, economic geography, and geographic education. Through individualized plans of coursework, students are prepared to use high-tech tools and scientific methods to discover and explain spatial patterns in the natural and human worlds. We prepare geographers to be active in the study of environmental issues, natural hazards, globalization, homeland security, rural and economic development, business analytics, disease outbreaks and much more.
