EXPLORE INNOVATIVE AND CUTTING-EDGE OPPORTUNITIES

The Counseling MA program at the University of Northern Iowa offers students innovative and cutting-edge opportunities. The program is grounded in a wellness philosophy in which students are encouraged and challenged to be exemplary counselors, innovative practitioners, and active agents of social justice in a diverse world through practical experiences and rigorous academic expectations. Our training clinic was recently renovated and expanded to a state-of-the-art facility with multiple counseling rooms, all with camera and taping options with interactive technology in the central classroom. Our students continue to have a 98 percent pass rate for the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Exam (CPCE) and for the National Counselor Exam (NCE) since implementation.
